Bronze sniffer dog training

Today we have completed the bronze sniffer dog training and what can I say … wow what an amazing course !
Absolutely fantastic course teaching your dog new skills and building your dogs confidence whilst challenging your dogs brain . Rosie was our instructor and she’s absolutely fantastic willing to give advice on issues you may be having with your pup even if it’s not course related couldn’t wish for a better instructor so Thankyou so much Rosie.
This is an amazing activity to help build a stronger forever bond with your loyal companion. Cant wait to get onto the next level Askan k9 is a game changer, absolutely brilliant.

Wealth of experience

I started mantrailing with Ken with my extremely anxious and reactive dog. Who has learnt that people aren’t as scary as he once thought. Ken’s understanding of dogs generally and knowledge of reading your dog whilst mantrailing is very good. Sessions are relaxed so you don’t have to rush and the feedback is really constructive and informative. I am looking forward to trying tracking with Ken. I have met Rosie a few times and her advice and insight on reactive dogs was great and her understanding of how hard it can be for the owner too. Brillant team.

A fabulous activity for your dog

Ive thoroughly enjoyed the courses completed with Askan. Rosie is patient, supportive and kind. My dog is nervous of new places and people but over time Rosie’s kindness and experience has made him feel comfortable and he loves to see her and participate in the activities. Excellent trainers, interesting classes and good fun too

I contacted Askan K9 dog training for help and guidance with one of my dogs. I found both Rosie and Ken very approachable, patient and friendly, I hadn’t realised the training sessions were so far away from me(we live in Leicester). However, due to their helpfulness I decided it was worth travelling. I signed one of my dogs up for Mantrailing and scent work. Inka and I had our introduction to Mantrailing this morning with Ken. Everyone at the session made us feel very welcome. We found Ken to be knowledgeable, very approachable, he explained the reasons behind the practical elements of Mantrailing , which I found very useful. Both Inka and myself are excited to learn more about Mantrailing.

Absolutely brilliant training for both dogs and handlers in all aspects. Friendly atmosphere. Lovely warming welcome. You work hard but with a fun aspect. You come away feeling like you have achieved something. Rosie and Ken are brilliant at what they do.

Fabulous Sniffer Dog Courses

Both Rosie and Ken at Askan K9 training are brilliant. I have done both the bronze and silver UK sniffer dog courses and trials with my dog and he absolutely loves it. It is his favourite game. The courses are really well set out and you learn lots to keep you busy in between classes. All dogs are different and they make sure you find a way that best suits your dog if the first way you try isn’t quite working. We both can’t wait to do the gold course!

Sniffer Classes and Mantrailing

Personable, approachable instructors who realise the importance of working with clients and not instructing AT them in rigid ways. Training methods very much adapted to dog and owners character, ability showing the importance of a flexible approach rather than ‘one size fits all’. The atmosphere is very relaxed with fun at the forefront which greatly encourages rapport and team spirit.

Such a fun positive class.🐾

Such a positive fun class. My dog wasn’t too interested in the class to begin with but Rosie encouraged me to not give up. By the end of the 3 sessions my dog loved it and you can’t stop him now. The classes really take into account that each dog is different and different tricks and techniques work for different dogs. Would highly recommend.

Ken was fantastic and is very thorough and understanding.

He gives you the time and patience with your dog to ensure you have all the time you need without being rushed by himself or any members of the group.

His sheer expertise and knowledge is going to help me and my dog pursue some talent with the man trailing.

Looking forward to further sessions to enhance my dog’s sniffing skills!

Fabulous Mantrailing Training

Initially completed a Mantrailing induction session. Ken was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, his style of support made it easy to ask questions and gave me confidence to join progression sessions. Ken continues to support me and my dog to develop our skills. We’re now looking forward to starting the sniffer dog workshop.

Mantrailing in Derbyshire with Ken

A group of 4 people started a new dog sport, Mantrailing, with this company and have had excellent training. Our instructor, Ken, has been patient, clear and good humoured throughout our instruction, he has a good memory for names, both human and canine, and his enjoyment of the sport comes across in a very natural way, We, the group, have just started out second 6 sessions set of training and can see a marked improvement in our dogs and our handling skills, and I can see that this is going to be a sport that we will continue with for a long time.

Excellent Mantrailing Trainer-Highly Recommend

Ken is a brilliant trainer, extremely welcoming, professional, but also down to earth and friendly. Both myself and my dog Maki are thoroughly enjoying our mantrailing sessions, its so exciting seeing the progress she makes each week, Ken has also been very supportive of the fact that Maki is nervous around new people, and this seems to be really helping her trust strangers more. Thank you Ken, looking forward to the next session!
